Why are we here?

Driven by the digitalization and the vision of building a purchasing platform for the food industry, we came up with the idea of “HOGASHOP” with HOGALOG as our company. Buyers order from all their suppliers via one shopping cart at daily updated prices. Each partner only needs a single interface – that was the basic idea of the pragmatic approach. Suppliers can use an interface or manual updating to display their entire assortment to their own customers on their own HOGASHOP.

We help our customers with the digitization and provide software development, consulting and know-how as partners.

What is important to us?

We develope and operate a neutral, digital B2B ordering platform with 28 employees. Accordingly, it is important for us to be able to accompany our customers as a fair, neutral partner.

Personal support and acting from a customer perspective is very important to us. In doing so, we rely on our knowledge of the industry, innovation and the philosophy of being able to offer our customers genuine added value.

We have the opportunity to help to shape the future of the food trade. Therefore, we believe that a unique success story can only be continued with motivated and fairly treated employees. History

2023

Mobile 2.0

In recent years, we have experienced a rapid change in ordering behaviour – the proportion of mobile orders has increased steadily. We therefore invested heavily in the development of a state-of-the-art HOGASHOP app and the results began to bear fruit in 2023. The new app was released for iOS and, for the first time, for Android. Just like our online platform, the app is being continuously developed and adapted to the needs of our customers.

2021

Technological boom

Driven by innovations and constant changes in the market and in legislation, the HOGASHOP is constantly being developed and improved. For example, the integration of other systems for menu and recipe planning or the comprehensive integration of nutritional values, allergens and quality seals. New technical possibilities are always taken into account.

2020

Coping with the corona crisis

An extraordinary year, which is strange and unexpected for all parts of society. But we can all learn a lot of positive things from it and move forward as people and as a collective. Digitalisation is proving to be another essential element of the future and is helping to simplify complex processes and procedures. We are helping HOGALOG’s partners through these times with a pragmatic and cost-effective B2C solution.

2019

Access for large groups

The further development of the platform and further steps towards digitalisation are paying off. In 2019, major companies joined as new partners and began to integrate HOGASHOP as a comprehensive ordering system and business processing platform. These include the Hirslanden Privatklinik, Tertianum AG, LUKS and others.

2018

Change in management

Markus Brüniger, the long-standing and successful CEO and member of the Board of Directors, is handing over his position as CEO to Valentin Jungi. A short time later, he also steps down as a member of the Board of Directors and takes on an advisory role within the company. The reorganisation goes smoothly and marks the beginning of a new strategic direction.

2011

The first HOGASHOP-App

The first version of the HOGASHOP app is launched on mobile devices. Within a very short time, the proportion of users who place their daily orders via mobile devices has more than doubled. The 3rd generation of the app has now been launched.

2007

Transformation into HOGALOG AG

The development of online shopping in various sectors is booming. HOGALOG AG is founded and there is a surge of investment in technology. A complete redesign of the platform, new additional functions and new technologies are implemented. Further B2B platforms are developed for various sectors.

2005

Foundation of HOGALOG GmbH

HOGASHOP, Switzerland’s first independent ordering platform, goes online shortly after the company is founded. Just a few months after its launch, well-known companies from the catering and retail sectors are already using the services of HOGALOG GmbH.
